What this record is

No document is held for this record. What is recorded is the URL, the date it was checked and what the check returned; the digest and size are absent because there were no retrieved bytes to measure. The account below is the record.

Records here are written one at a time, when a document is captured or when a link recorded for a source is found dead. The date in this page's address belongs to that one act and was fixed when the record was written. Nothing is added to this collection on a schedule.

Each format carries the permalink and the date this archive entry was observed. The observation date is part of the citation: the underlying source may have changed since.

Plain text

BibTeX

APA

JSON

This archive entry’s observations are not individually addressed, so the machine form carries the entry permalink and no observation address.

What this record is not

This is not the observation series. This site also retrieves each tracked source on a repeating schedule and records one observation per fetch. Not every fetch produces a digest: 16,434 of 24,082 recorded observations carry a content_hash. A page under /archive/ is not a day in that series, and the digest it carries is not drawn from it. A record here is written by its own retrieval, so its SHA-256 measures different bytes read at a different moment — a value here and a value in the series are separate measurements, and neither is derived from the other.

The observation series is published in full at /api/v1/observations.json, one entry per tracked source with its dated hashes. The most recent recorded hash for a source also appears on that source's own page.
