What this record is not

This is not the observation series. This site also retrieves each tracked source on a repeating schedule and records one observation per fetch. Not every fetch produces a digest: 11,953 of 16,948 recorded observations carry a content_hash. A page under /archive/ is not a day in that series, and the digest it carries is not drawn from it. A record here is written by its own retrieval, so its SHA-256 measures different bytes read at a different moment — a value here and a value in the series are separate measurements, and neither is derived from the other.

The observation series is published in full at /api/v1/observations.json, one entry per tracked source with its dated hashes. The most recent recorded hash for a source also appears on that source's own page.
